Calibration of Measuring Instruments

Temperature

When calibrating measuring instruments for the temperature parameter, this concerns the following thermometers:

• Individual thermometers: Pt100; thermocouple; thermometer in combination with indicator; or temperature transmitters;
• Built-in thermometers in equipment such as ovens; stoves; baths; refrigerated and freezer cabinets;

Humidity

When calibrating measuring instruments for the quantity of moisture, this concerns the following hygrometers:

• Individual hygrometers;
• Built-in hygrometers: in equipment such as climate cabinets, incubators; air-conditioned spaces.

Mass Measurement

When calibrating mass measurement tools, the measuring instruments we calibrate include:

• Non-automatic weighing instruments; such as analytical balance; industrial balance; floor scales; weighing bunkers; weighbridges;
• Automatic weighing instruments: weighing machine for weighing; belt scales; weight checkweighers;
• Mass items.

In addition to the calibration of the weighing instruments, inspection (internal link to ‘inspection’ page) in accordance with the metrological regulations may also apply.

Fluid measurement

When calibrating liquid measuring instruments, the instruments we calibrate include:

• Flow meters for quantity measurement;
• Flow meters for measuring the throughput speed.

Electric measurements

When calibrating for electric values such as voltage, current, and resistance, the measuring instruments we calibrate include:

• Multimeters
• Clamp meters
• (Multi) calibrators

Pressure Measurement

When calibrating pressure, the measuring instruments we calibrate include:

• Process pressure sensors
• Pressure transmitters
• Room pressure sensors

Force and Power Measurements

Determining the Contents of Storage Tanks

When determining the contents of storage tanks, we measure the contents of the storage tank as a function of the liquid amount. When calibrating the contents of the tank, the aspects to be measured include:

• Contents of the tank
• Liquid quantity gauges
• Shape of the tank

In addition to determining the contents of the tank, inspection in accordance with the metrological regulations may also apply.
